The Accelerometer

Inside every Trixy GPS Tracker is a tiny accelerometer—the same technology used in smartphones to detect orientation. This sensor measures movement in three dimensions.

Sensitivity Settings

You can adjust motion sensitivity in the app:

• High sensitivity: Detects the slightest movement, ideal for stationary items
• Medium sensitivity: Balanced setting for most use cases
• Low sensitivity: Only triggers on significant movement, good for items that might vibrate or shift slightly

How Alerts Are Sent

1. The accelerometer detects movement exceeding your threshold
2. The tracker wakes up and gets a GPS fix
3. Location data is sent via LTE to our servers
4. A push notification is sent to your phone

Smart Power Management

When no motion is detected, the tracker enters a low-power sleep mode. This extends battery life significantly while still being ready to alert you instantly when movement occurs.
